For 2017 I thought I’d try something new. Each Friday I’ll be telling you about an item of clothing I’ve loved wearing that week.
It could be something old, new, borrowed or blue.
My aim? To inspire you to shop sustainably. Maybe it’ll jog your mind to remind you of that amazing ‘x’ you’ve had stuck at the back of your wardrobe, or introduce you to a new product or brand.
We can berate big brands for unethical practices, but we are responsible for what we buy (and don’t buy). I think the key to shopping sustainably is to buy things we truly love and not get sucked into buying a trend item that really doesn’t work (I am so guilty of this.)
So 2017 let’s shop small, shop sustainable and shop items designed to last.
If you follow me on instagram I’ll be posting pictures there with the hashtag #lovingmyclothes, please join in the fun!
This week it’s these slippers from the, appropriately named, Happy Mood Shop on Etsy. They arrived down the chimney on 24th December (thank you Santa.) They are super warm and handmade from sheepskin. They have sheepskin on the in and outside and the soles are leather. I particularly like the bright stitching on the toes. Also at £16.02 they were a veritable bargain.
