Apart from underwear, there is nothing as crucial to have in your summer wardrobe as the simple white cotton tee. Every year I search the shops for the ultimate white tee, and once I’ve found it I will invest in at least 2 or 3 of them. For the key to the tee is that it’s pristine white and in the latest shape. Keeping them white with Daisy around will be a challenge, hence the need for so many in my wardrobe! So throw away those yellowed armpit, dog eaten tees from last year and invest in some new ones.
But what is SS15’s ultimate white tee shape? Well there are a couple of new features, firstly the influence of the sports lux trend has seen a return to the V neck. The V neck has a relaxed fit with a dropped shoulder. The newest way to wear it is tucked into a waist hugging pair of trousers or skirt as demonstrated below. However if you need to still hide all the post baby lumps and bumps wear it untucked, a loose silhouette over your skinny jeans.

This season there is a trend towards more voluminous bottom halves for example culottes, wide leg trousers and dare I mention it flares! As a result a more fitted (not skin tight) tee is now essential to balance the outfit. The neat fit tee has a set in sleeve and is slightly shorter in length (i.e. skimming your bottom rather than covering it).
