Spring has finally sprung. Horray! I’ve been sick to death of wearing jeans and jumpers and longing to pull out a skirt and put on a pair of sunglasses. This Saturday it finally arrived.
We spent the day in the garden, Dr husband has found a Vintage Peugeot road bike that he’s currently restoring, so spent the day washing and striping it. Daisy helped me with my first bit of gardening ever, yes ever. Which involved pulling out what I hope were weeds, and pruning a bush. Basically we were enjoying having an outside space, something we’ve never had in London before.
Clearly I wore tats to garden in, but when I was drinking cups of tea (herbal I’m afraid) and bouncing on the trampoline this was my outfit.
Let’s start with my MAMA T-Shirt, which I love for so many reasons. Firstly, it was a present from my sisters for Christmas. It’s from Selfish Mother who sells #GoodTees to raise money for charity. £10 of my sisters’ money went to MOTHERS 2 MOTHERS who employ, train and empower mothers living with HIV, called Mentor Mothers, to end paediatric AIDS. It’s also made sustainably, the fabric is 50% organic cotton and 50% tencel and it was manufactured solely using renewable green energy sources. Oh and did I mention that I like the design too?
The sunglasses are from one of my favourite brands TOMS, who just have an amazing business philosophy #OneforOne. For every item bought they also give to someone in need. In this case, with every pair of eyewear purchased, TOMS help to give sight to a person in need. I love their timeless shape in modern colour, rose gold. I suspect Dr. Husband will be stealing them off me soon.
My skirt is an old favourite from & Other Stories, a brand I love for their design but as they are part of the H&M group have a long way to go in terms of sustainability.
What did you get up to this weekend?
