For 2017 I thought I’d try something new. Each week I’ll be telling you about an item of clothing I’ve loved wearing. It could be something old, new, borrowed or blue. As I’ve missed a couple of weeks, Daisy and I both have something to give to this Edit.
Now every so often, I feel envious of my daughter’s clothes. In some ways she is the complete opposite to me, I’m a huge fan of classic wardrobe staples in easy neutral colours. And yet, Daisy picks bright colours, clashes prints and generally does style in a far more imaginative way than me.
It’s no wonder this Mothercare yellow hooded mac has become a firm favourite of hers. It ticks almost every box; bright, fun and its hood is lined with a colourful flower print. Yet this is one of her much-loved items that I actually like. Also it’s very practical as it’s waterproof. Tick. It’s part of Mothercare’s new SS17 range, which has some really cute pieces, please click here to take a look.
For me, I’ve been living in these Marks & Spencer Limited Edition embroidered jeans. Mainly because they finally fit me and aren’t maternity. It’s the mom jean shape which, for those of you that don’t know, is high-waisted and with a tapered leg. They’re 100% cotton, so hold you in and not show off every lump & bump. Embroidered florals is a trend that has bubbled under the surface for a while, and whilst I don’t believe in buying every trend that comes our way, as I live in jeans it is nice that denim is becoming slightly more interesting.
