What would you most like for Christmas? If you’re a parent a good night’s sleep will be high on your list, for it’s worth its weight in gold. I remember when Daisy was born, that getting her to sleep through the night was the Holy Grail. In fact it’s so key I recently wrote a post with my top tips for newborn sleep, if you want to read it please click here. Ensuring we look after ourselves and get a good night sleep is paramount for everyone’s happiness. This Christmas I thought I’d share with you a few luxuries to help you get that sleep. Maybe you could add them to your Christmas List, or just treat yourself.
Pyjamas | Eight Hour Studio
Say good-bye to milk soiled, boring checked pyjamas, and get your hands on some luxury organic loungewear from Eight Hour Studio. They use traditional Indian block printing techniques on satin finish organic cotton to create these beautiful garments. They are made in Fair Trade factories in Jaipur, India, so you can relax from a transparency perspective.
I love their mis-matched prints, soft muted colour palette and easy shapes. Take the A line silhouette of this cami, which is both stylish and flattering. Eight Hour Studio takes the idea of sustainability to a new level. The shirt dresses can obviously be worn in bed, but could also be worn over a bikini with sandals on the beach. Just think, sunshine, lapping waves……
Silk Eye Mask | Nomad Design
This lavender filled silk eye mask is guaranteed to help you get a good night’s sleep. Georgina, who is behind Nomad Designs, sources beautiful artisan textiles to create durable, functional home accessories. Her mission is to support traditional weavers, hand dyers and the communities that make these stunning fabrics. Not only are these eye masks beautifully crafted, with a geometric silk print on the front and a luxurious velvet back. But they also give off a wonderful relaxing aroma. I’ve enjoyed using mine so much I’ve bought one for my sister.
Hair care | Maria Nila
Because your hair is the one part of your outfit you never change, it’s essential to look after it. I only ever buy hair care products that are free from chemicals as they are better for our hair and better for the environment. I also find I don’t have to wash my hair as regularly. I’ve been using Maria Nila Stockholm’s Pure Volume range, shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask. My hair is very fine, but it manages to make it super soft and smooth without weighing it down. It has Vitamin B5 in it to add volume. I like to make the time once a week to have a bath and treat my hair to the mask, as it’s wonderfully relaxing and helps me sleep.
All Maria Nila Stockholm’s hair care products are made in their own production plant in Sweden, which means they can make sure that both working conditions and ingredients are of the highest standard. None of their products are tested on animals and they’re 100% vegan.

Hello,
I was wondering how you found the Pajamas for feeding? I’m thinking of buying a cami but not sure if it would be practical if I need to get up to feed every few hours. Any advice you have would be great!
Thank you!

Hi Emily,
Thanks for your message. I think the button front pj top would be great to breast feed in, because you can just unbutton as you need. The cami would work if you just lifted the top up, I think you’d struggle to pull one strap down as the fabric is cotton so doesn’t have much stretch. The other thing you might want to think about is whether you’ll be wearing breast pads to stop leaking. I used to stick mine to a stretch cotton cami when breast feeding, because the cami was stretch it meant the pads didn’t move. Does that help? Feel free to email me at karen@n4mummy.com or comment here if you want any more help K x
Thanks so much for taking the time to respond, Karen. I really appreciate it and your advice was really helpful. I bought the button down shirt dress, and looking forward to a good night’s sleep! Thank you again 🙂
I tried the shampoo and conditioner when staying with N4 Mummy and can guarantee it is wonderful!
