One of the things I love about having a little girl is seeing things through their eyes. Life is simple. Happiness equals seeing a sheep in the fields, or stroking baby rabbit. They don’t require 5* holidays or gourmet food to experience serious joy.
One of Daisy’s current obsessions is animals. We’re spending this week in the West Country, whilst Dr. Husband takes part on a 300 mile charity cycle ride (for once I definitely got the better deal). We spent yesterday at a local farm where Daisy got to cuddle and feed the animals. Sheer delight, you can imagine. Before we’d even arrived at our destination, cries of “baa, baa, baa” were heard from the back of the car. She was practically jumping out of her seat at the sight of sheep in a field. Now rabbits aren’t something she’s really seen before, but she was in complete awe of a tiny fluffy bunny, which she could cuddle and kiss.
Currently there’s another rabbit Daisy is in love with. For Mamas & Papas have teamed up with Fifi Lapin to produce the cutest range of baby clothing. For those of you who don’t know, and I didn’t, Fifi Lapin is an “international it-bunny and furry fashionista.” Described by Vogue as “an unlikely – but powerful – fashion force,” the outfits Fifi Lapin wears are always the latest. She appears dressed in clothes straight from the runway; for this bunny is a fashion icon in her own right, she even wear Iris Apfel glasses. Needless to say this Fifi Lapin range with Mamas & Papas is equally stylish. These are not clothes to be worn to the local farm. Rather they are mini uber cool outfits, turning my snotty nosed toddler into a fashion queen.
Mamas & Papas were kind enough to send us a selection of outfits from the range. The prints in the range are seriously cute, particularly the star print shorts and signature Fifi Lapin print which comes in a blouse, woven trousers and even a dress. As with all Mamas & Papas garments it’s the attention to detail that makes them stand out. Fluro Pink poppers feature on the grey sweatshirt and the dress and skirt are lined so are neither see through or itchy to wear.
But our favourite outfit is definitely the nude pink tutu skirt with Breton stripe top, featuring Fifi Lapin in her many outfits, of course. The striped top is an everyday staple, mixed with the wow factor of a tutu skirt. Exactly the type of outfit I’d dress her in for a Birthday party, for it walks that tight rope of being cool, but pretty without being fru fru. Essential.
So pretty – love the tutu and striped top the best as well…oh to have a girl Karen!;)
Seriously cute skirt – we used to wear party dresses like that many years ago!
