Brand Alert! Petites Pattes

Petites Pattes-3One of the absolute joys about writing this blog is discovering new and exciting brands and sharing them with you. For there are a wealth of young entrepreneurs all over the UK, fed up with high street fodder, who are doing something that little bit different. Several times a year I visit trade shows to find these unique brands. Recently I discovered a company who specialise in baby socks – Petites Pattes

In the n4mummy household we are obsessed with socks. Dr husband plans his outfit around them, and Daisy has to choose which socks go on her feet each morning. I, however, am determined not to wear them as I think shoes look so much better (on me) with bare ankles. So when I spotted these emotion socks by Petites Pattes, I was hooked.

Petites Pattes socks are playful, quirky and most importantly unisex, it’s all about making lives easier and cheaper for parents. You can buy different emotions for your newborn baby, or buy the appropriately named Dripping Nose Family, which has a pair each for mum, dad and baby. Cleverly they also sell individual socks, either to mix and match, or to replace the one lost on the way to the park – a familiar tale. The socks are sold in packs of 3 for £20, and come in a lovely gift box, so they make a great present.

Founder, Win, comes from Thailand, so all his socks are made there by an established hosiery manufacturer, Dara Mitr, who has produced socks since 1977. The socks are 100% cotton and they use special knitting techniques to make sure the socks stay up round the ankle, and not putting synthetic fibres into the socks which can irritate babies skin.

Petities Pattes kindly sent me a box of socks through the post, which I’m currently hiding away for the next n4mummy baby, who may also have a love of socks.
