Apologies it’s been complete radio silence from me for the past week. As many of your know I was blogging for London Fashion Weekend, so some fun but non stop days. For me, a normal day consists of changing nappies and dealing with the latest delight/tantrum from Daisy, so as you’ll see quite a contrast. I thought you might like to see a few pics of what I’ve been up to.
London Fashion Weekend took place at the Saatchi Gallery, Sloane Square, so a beautiful part of London.
As the Official Blogger for London Fashion Weekend, it was my job to sit FROW (it’s a hard life) and write about the catwalks. This season we saw Emilia Wickstead, Mary Katrantzou, Temperley London and Holly Fulton, as well as a Spring Summer trend show from Veryexclusive.co.uk. Over the next few days I’ll be reporting back to you on these.
There were talks to attend, Maybelline UK had free makeovers (which I made full use of) and of course plenty of shopping. One of my favourite aspects of the weekend was finding exciting new brands, these were a couple of my favourites: Astrid & Miyu, PB0110, Tada & Toy.
There is plenty of opportunity to photograph and have a bit of fun!
Surrounded by some of the best dressed, coolest and most beautiful people, there can be a pressure to wear the latest hip designer / trend. My wallet (currently) doesn’t sustain purchasing designer items, so normally my reaction to this is to head to Zara and buy myself some new little item. Just to make myself feel ok. This year, in the name of sustainability and to save some money, I decided to only use items I already had in my wardrobe. With baby 2 on the way it was a bit of a challenge, as not much fits! Here’s what I wore:
Jumper – Cos
Leather Jacket – Topshop Boutique
Black Trousers – Atterley
Trainers – Pieces
Necklaces- Alex Monroe & Stella & Dot
All photography by Ellie Gillard, www.eleanorgillard.com.
With thanks to Granny Maurice, Kirsty and Dr. Husband for excellent childcare, and allowing me to have a little adventure xxx
Mom’s brain – Liberty’s is where I saw it, duh.
