I am 16 (and a half) months

Hi it’s me again, this month has gone a little slower than usual, but that’s because I’ve not been up to my usual tricks, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise so read on below.

Age: 16 (and a half) months

Achievements: Result! I successfully negotiated nearly 2 whole weeks off nursery, when a bout of D&V turned into bronchiolitis. Lying on my mum all day long, with the flat full of clean washing, reminded me of when I was just a baby. I think mum was pleased, as despite the fact our flat is carpeted, my aim was superb. I managed to only vomit in the kitchen and bathroom, which has wood flooring, so much easier to clean. Dad is maybe not so happy with me; his wool coat is still at the dry cleaners!

Charming all the hospital staff. I made a brief appearance at the Whittington Hospital, when my bronchiolitis took a turn for the worse. I even managed to make my Dr Dad grimace when he saw my sats were only 88. It’s hard being the daughter of a Dr as you have to be really ill for him to take notice. But after some oxygen through a nasty mask, I bounced back and even managed to make the nurses laugh.

Developments Made: “Oh,” yes this is my new word. Some children my age have several words, but I find that Ma Ma Ma works for most of my needs. But “Oh” is definitely new. I use it when I drop something, or throw something, almost as if it’s an accident, but really it’s because I just want to practise saying “Oh.”
